Well, Clarice - have the lambs stopped screaming?

So while I was away on my little blogging holiday I turned 19. It wasn't a big affair, just drinks and food with family and friends. However my present to myself was something a little larger. If you were reading my blog back when I turned 18 I celebrated by getting a tattoo (Jack & Sally to be correct) and that started the tradition. Last year I didn't disappoint (just my mum maybe oops!) and I ended up getting a huge moth done, which was inspiried by the Thomas Harris book & film 'Silence of the Lambs.'
Now this baby isn't finished yet, I decided to be a baby and tapped out nearly half way through colour. But not to fear I'm getting this finished on the 12th on Jan, so yes I am super scared but I'm determined to get it finished! It's just so super pretty. This picture is about 8hrs after I left the studio.

I've also decided to book in for 2 roses, one on either foot. I hope they aren't as painful ha! :-)

High Hopes for 2015

Hi boys and girls! It feels like an age since I've seen you all. Yes this is one of those posts introducing my comeback. It seems for maybe the last 6 months I've gone off the radar completely, with all social media including this blog. Well let me tell you, a LOT has happened in the past few months. Obviously it's been the normal Christmas & New Year celebrations but I've got a few of my own to tell you about.

I started a new job at an Internet provider in my home town, it's a great job full of the most wonderful people ever, it gives me my weekends and nights back to do with as I please. Meaning I can come home from work and read that book or blog. It has also given me the funds to be a little naughty with some high end products (heh!)

Sadly I did say goodbye to Tom last year, it was mutual as we had been growing apart for months, no hard feelings there. And like everyone always says "New year new me!" this goes for everything not just relationships. I've taken it upon myself to change my lifestyle, all areas included. I haven't set resolutions as such, just like 'to-dos' for myself to keep up with. Such as;
  1. loose some weight, not loads just to tone up and feel better.
  2. get back blogging!
  3. travel more (Rome first!)
  4. read more (at least 50 books this year!)
I promise to myself and to you guys there will be more posts on this little space of the internet, I've got lots planned and lots of time to do them all in! I will say now my posts are going to graduate slightly away from beauty, I get bored reading reviews so writing them would be even harder! The books however, are here to stay.

From me and my favorite author, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Momma Got Married!

On the 28th of June my Momma finally got married to her sweetheart.
So we decided to make a full weekend out of it with a meal the night prior and a hotel stay with the wedding on the Saturday. I took it even further and decided to doll myself up to the hills, seeing as she would only get married once. The night prior we went out for a family meal including my mums side of the family and my other half.

Dress - Backless lace number from New Look
Shoes - Primark last season
Necklace - Vintage stall
Lipstick - Dita Von Tease Art Deco
I adore this dress, it makes me feel fabity and I don't have to bear much flesh (aside from my back and bra strap ha!) That night me and my mum spent the night at the hotel where she would be getting married the next day -Lazaat's. We had a queen(?) bed with room for 4 people and a gorgeous bathroom with a walk in shower. The next morning involved us getting our hair and make up done, drinking wine and getting nervous! The following pictures are from after the ceremony.

Pictured 1st is my dress from the night do. It consists of a white material dress and separate under skirt, both from eBay and my staple chunky heels from Primark and pearls from Matalan. Pictured second is the dress I wore for the ceremony The dress is from Quiz (a prom dress store?) sailor heels from Schuh and my pearls. Both dress were super comfy and surprisingly light and airy. In my hair for both outfits I wore material like red roses with my hair curled and swept back.
The day turned out to be fabulous, my momma looked gorgeous and she was super happy. We had lots of cake, a photo booth and a candy cart (so I made quick work of all the goodies on offer!) Best of all I got to tumble into bed with my man after a long night of dancing yay!
Here's one of my favorite photos that got taken with a film camera!

Summer Reading List & Update

Hello guys,
It seems I'm back from a very long holiday, or so it seems. My personal life as well as college caught up with me and well me being lazy I just didn't bother. It didn't help that I had lost my way with blogging. However I AM BACK! I have returned with a new blog design (which I love) and hopefully a new direction with blogging. I felt as if before I left it was just makeup everything and I was getting bored, I mean I love makeup yet hate reviewing it because I don't wear it every single day. Meaning my direction comes in the form of book posts (which I'm trying to do more of), OOTD posts (as now I have my own place!!) and just normal everyday lifestyle posts. Don't get me wrong, I will still talk about beauty it just won't be all the time as I'm not actually buying that much makeup anymore.

I have so many posts I want to share with you, including a tour of my very own flat and the weekend I spent away in Peterborough, but for now I'm going to give you a taste of what I'm going to be reading this summer!

Apocalypse Now Now By Charlie Human
Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantle
City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin

Also including some kindle books I just haven't had chance to read (I'm trying to save up for the HD fire)... I haven't included many on this list as I'm slowly getting myself back into reading as I haven't done very much this year. Hopefully when September rolls around this list will be complete and I'll have had to make a second post for all the other books I've read! As I seem to have tons of spare time and spend most of it in bed... so I may as well start picking up a book again.

Looking Towards The Future..

It's that time of year when everyone starts to panic. They start to revise for exams, they constantly check UCAS for offers and they hate college at the same time. I'm not different and it sucks. So today I thought I would share with you something that scares and excites me madly!
The idea of going to university this year.

It scares me so much, not because I have no offers or I'm such a bad student. Just the fact I'm growing up so fast and in 6 moths or so I will have left home and will have gone into the big bad world all by myself. But also getting there in the first place. I find college hard and boring. I just want to get going with Uni and my career (without finishing college please!).

(I went out on Saturday and celebrated getting all my offers woo!)

I'm also thinking about my wonderful student loan and how may gorgeous dresses or how many MAC lippies I can buy with it...heh ;-) But yeah anyone else scared shitless for starting A2 exams and accepting Uni offers?

Or anyone else already there and want to offer advice?

NY Eve OOTD!

blouse - primark // jeans - primark // lipstick - art deco's dita von teese
I recently went sales shopping and well here we are! I decided to dress down and casual for NY's eve with a little bit of colour as I attended a family party. For months last year I lusted after the huge blouses Topshop were selling and I never got my mitts on one. So I settled for second best with this gorgeous blossom one from Primark (they had a gorgeous orange print on too!)
I paired it with a strappy white top to hide my boobies and plain black jeans also from Primarni & on my wrist I have my Pandora bracelet. Like I said, nice and casual but also ever so comfy. I thought I'd show you a FOTD picture as well as I felt (not like you can tell) my make up went perfectly for a change. By that I mean my eyeliner flicks matched, yay!
Last but not least have the picture I shared on Instagram of me and Tom!
happy new year everyone xoxoxox

did someone say bath time heaven?

 photo DSC_8443_zps4d77927a.jpg

Guess who got spoilt at Christmas time yet again this year. I ended up getting Soap & Glory not just from my boyfriend but also my mum, dad and grandma.. phew! Mind I never say no to gorgeous new bath products, I'm always running out so Christmas time is perfect for everyone to stock me up on my favorite goodies :-)

This year I ended up receiving the huge and wonderful £60 box that gets reduced (thanks Tom more bags for storage!), the Birthday Box and the other tube shaped one from Soap & Glory as well as some spray on moisturizer. Other goodies included the huge purple box which is from Gok Wan's range (I can't remember the name) which included goodies such as bath foam & wash and body butters - all with an amazing smell. & also the gorgeous Ted baker 'I wanna be loved by you' in the gorgeous pink bag which includes a candle, hand cream, lip balm and body spray - it's so gorgeous I don't want to unwrap it!
I got that much my 'normal' storage box was filled so I've had to end up using the S&G bag and also the Gok wan one just to keep my collection under control, all I need is some Lush products to complete the set. I'm going to take a wonderfully long bath on my day off tomorrow and use all my favorite products and some new ones as well! (I'm looking at you Sugar Crush!) I can't wait to smell wonderful with the S&G scents!

Did you receive any bath products this year?

1 January 2014

hello 2014!

Hi guys, it's 2014!!! Have my face with a new fringe! ^__^
So it seems I lost my blogging mojo about 4+ months back and I never got back into it! Since then I've had a birthday (turning 18), broken off for Christmas from college and Christmas itself. It's been a busy last few months with my weeks filled up with college and work and trying to see my boyfriend so blogging took a back seat :(

However I have lots of goodies to show you in the new year, I got incredibly spoiled at Christmas and I will be spoiling myself with my Christmas paydays so expect a few hauls and maybe even some OOTD's as I'll probably buy an entire new wardrobe with my Christmas money... oops. However this is like two posts in one really, a small apology because I have wanted to blog but just been way too tired but also I would like to share my new year resolutions with you all. (I actually intend to keep them this year too!)
become more confident with myself & my weight = lose about a stone and tone up meaning I need to get back to gym! But also buy clothes that are more revealing/figure hugging which spur me on to stay fit

sort my blog out, meaning I get a real design that I love so everything is organised and lovely

get a new tattoo, something a little less serious, I just want to expand my collection!

study the absolute shit out of my courses, beast my A2 exams and get into my dream university (!!)

keep a diary & memory jar, I want 2014 to be a year that I remember well

♡
learn to drive, I'm staying at home for university so I want to be independent,
up my game for book reading (I nowhere near reached this years goal :c),
de-clutter my room and keep it that way, I want to be organised

Also to round this post off I though I would share a few outfits from the last few weeks that you may have seen on instagram - ellelouiseexo, I seem to have been making quite the effort recently!

night out with the work lot // birthday at college // birthday night out // college outfit (my coat♡)
christmas day // my new dress which is perfect

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve and I can't wait for 2014 to get started!!

31 October 2013

There's only 365 days left until next Halloween! // Tattoo Time!

Let me start this off by wishing you all a 'Happy Halloween!'
I hope you all enjoy the parties and treats you're all going to enjoy tonight while I'm at work! I've had my celebrations (which were last weekend) so it's okay, I can chomp down on all the left over sweets tomorrow. However time to move on to bigger and maybe even better things!
Like I said in my 'returning' post I had an exciting thing to share with you all that happened yesterday! I know many of you may already know and have seen it through facebook/instagram/twitter and what not but I just knew I had to post this baby, because not only am I so proud of it and want to show everyone, I feel it gives more insight to me and who I am as a person....

So yesterday I went and got my first tattoo! I turned 18 last Wednesday (I'll blog about that too don't worry!) and I decided to go all out for it and get a tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted, I'm not sure of the exact meaning behind them and why they are so important. All I know is that they are perfect, on me forever and that is good with me! It is huuuge (to me) and detailed and took around 4/5 hours, safe to say me and Chris were stiff by the time he had finished the shading! So without further ado here you are guys!
LOOK HOW PRETTY MY BABIES ARE.
Okay people the one on the left is just the outline done, which took 2 hours! The one on the right is literally 5 minutes after Chris finished it, 4 and a half hours later... Very sore and very bloody but amazing. I feel like Jack and Sally were captured perfectly.
These next photos were taken at about 9:30pm last night, I wondered how they would look under a SLR lense (the two above are just iPhone camera quality) so I asked my boyfriend to take a few snaps of them.

This next one is a personal favorite of mine, just because. I look so damn pleased!

The guy that did my work goes by the name of @chriscolour on instagram and he is amazing, so check out his work - he does a lot of colour but he wants to do a lot more black and white shading. All I can say is that I want more and more, specially from him because this is perfect. In fact I'm already thinking about booking my next one, I just need the cash. I think next time round it has to be Victor and his Corpse Bride to complete the set! One thing I will say is that yes it did hurt, the outline was completely fine apart from some parts but the shading was a bitch.

They are so worth the money, pain and time it took and I want my next one now!

ps. sweets to all who can guess where the title of this post came from! ;)

Someone's Been a Busy Bee // Life Update

Hello boys and girls!
It seems that I haven't been around since maybe September time? Oops! It seems time has taken me away, I got caught up being back at college and seeing all my friends, it's mad to think it's now nearly the end of October eek! I though I'd do a little post on what I've been getting up to before I start back on my hauls and beauty reviews, I've got all the pictures lined up I just need to write!

♡ I recently returned to college, picking up my A2 courses and I'm slowly getting to grips with everything however there seems to be so much more work for this year that I wasn't prepared for - boohoo!
♡ As well as returning to college I've hurried myself into my UCAS personal statement and application for university. I have my heart set on either York or Leeds and I just want my application sent off as soon as!
♡ My boyfriend recently turned 20 (old I know boooo) but we went out for a lovely meal with him family and my present was GTA V, safe to say he's been missing for weeks... heh.
♡ I have a wonderful event to blog about after this coming Wednesday - I've booked my first tattoo and I'm so excited to show it to you all, so stay tuned it's gorgeous and so very me :)
♡ A lot of my friends have been turning 18 so I've been buying presents and going to parties. My favorite one was one of my best friends fancy dress party. I dressed up as Frank and my boyfriend as an army dude, here's a picture for you all! I was so proud of my make up so expect a post on it!
♡ I turned 18 yay and celebrated a hell of a lot yay!
I hope to post properly on this so I won't say much, I will only say I expect a few outfit posts, a wishlist and maybe a wee haul of what I was lucky enough to get. But for now have a picture of me and my twin at Frankie & Benny's! Let's just say turning 18 was fab, we did a hell of a lot of drinking and eating and had a fab time doing it!
I'll see you all in my next post and I hope you're all okay. I have lots to share with you that I'm ever so excited about :)

*~ 18 months ~*

14.08.2013

Yesterday was mine and my wonderful boyfriends year and a half anniversary and I just thought I'd do a little post to document it! I know for the better part of a month I've been ~MIA~ purely due to working a lot and then spending all my free time with the lovely man above but hey once college kicks off again hey! I WILL be back. I have tons of products to review and tons to show you all which I just currently love. And a lot of videos to upload oops..

Anyway,  we went out for a lovely meal in Pizza Hut ;) how classy and a little spend in the town centre. We have something better planned for weekend which includes drinking a hell of a lot in a wonderful club and then collapsing into a comfy double bed in a Premier Inn on Sunday night! Today I wore my gorgeous new New Look dress, paired with my favorite Doc Martens and favorite red lip.
I hope you've all had a wonderful summer so far! & here is todays outfit xoxo
