did someone say bath time heaven?

Guess who got spoilt at Christmas time yet again this year. I ended up getting Soap & Glory not just from my boyfriend but also my mum, dad and grandma.. phew! Mind I never say no to gorgeous new bath products, I'm always running out so Christmas time is perfect for everyone to stock me up on my favorite goodies :-)

This year I ended up receiving the huge and wonderful £60 box that gets reduced (thanks Tom more bags for storage!), the Birthday Box and the other tube shaped one from Soap & Glory as well as some spray on moisturizer. Other goodies included the huge purple box which is from Gok Wan's range (I can't remember the name) which included goodies such as bath foam & wash and body butters - all with an amazing smell. & also the gorgeous Ted baker 'I wanna be loved by you' in the gorgeous pink bag which includes a candle, hand cream, lip balm and body spray - it's so gorgeous I don't want to unwrap it!

I got that much my 'normal' storage box was filled so I've had to end up using the S&G bag and also the Gok wan one just to keep my collection under control, all I need is some Lush products to complete the set. I'm going to take a wonderfully long bath on my day off tomorrow and use all my favorite products and some new ones as well! (I'm looking at you Sugar Crush!) I can't wait to smell wonderful with the S&G scents!

S&G Hand Food // Review

From being a little kid I always wanted to be a lover of hand cream because my mum was obsessed with the stuff! And now I am. So when I had the chance I picked up a small sample bottle of Soap & Glory's own to try out for myself, I then later got the big bottle with the huge Christmas gift set. Now everyone knows that this stuff smells absolutely heavenly and to die for! Plus the simplistic yet girly looking packaging is very appealing, especially to me.

The formula is very thick and creamy and it smells wonderful with their own 'branded scent' and a little bit goes a long way with this cream! As the formula is thick once rubbed into all the nooks and crannies it slowly sinks in and leaves my skin feeling amazing. Sometimes it does take a little while to sink in but it doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky which is always important! 

I love the fact that there is a travel size as well as the normal size. I tend to use my smaller bottle a lot when I'm away from home such as college or work, it easily fits into my bag and is always to hand. As I work in a fast food restaurant my hands tend to smell and get rather rough during a shift so afterwards is when I slap some hand food on and it works a treat while the bigger bottle stays at home for mornings.

I will always repurchase this product. I absolutely adore this product and it's scent!

Kick Ass Concealer By Soap & Glory // Review

So recently in a haul video I said I had bought S&G's concealer after much thought. Now I've read really good things about this product and I really wanted it as I'm a huge fan of the brand but I really didn't feel like paying £10 (!!) for the product, however in Boots it was reduced to £7 so it wasn't as bad plus I felt like treating myself! First thing I noticed about this product is it's gorgeous packaging, it's very retro and old school and I wanted it even more! I bought it in the lightest colour and I think it matches my skin tone perfectly! (Although my dark under eyes do fight the concealer hard, it works perfectly).

As you can see from the picture below there are 3 steps, 1 for under your eyes to brighten you up, 2 for covering up any blemishes and scars you want to hide and 3 with a little puff with finishing powder to set your concealer in place. Now I love the set out of the 'steps' it's very cute and easy to follow but also very simple. 

It was hard to show the swatches up against the flash of my camera but I hope you can see them well, as I said before these colours match my skin perfectly and they blend so well with my foundation, they are perfect for covering dark circles and uneven skin! 

Now I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it nearly every day since and I love it, you don't need to use much of the product to cover up so hopefully this baby will last me a good length of time! It's easy to apply and doesn't look too 'fake'.

Soap & Glory Heaven Nose

So as a little surprise my boyfriend bought me a Soap & Glory gift set! Now he knows how much I love S&G and I've been raving on and on about the perfume to him so this was a lovely little surprise  I also got the body butter with this set and that is a staple item in my 'after bath' routine as it smells gorgeous and just makes my skin feel aaaamazing!

How cute does this little set look though? The little perfume bottle is even cuter as it has a little catch on the spray bit so it won't push down by accident with a little ribbon attached. The best thing about this perfume is that it smells exactly like the body butter with Soap & Glory's own 'famous scent' which is divine. Now I've only worn the perfume a few times so I haven't really had chance to properly use it but I promise to review this as I can see it being a firm favorite! I know my mum and my boyfriend love the smell of it :)

Thick & Fast by Soap and Glory // Review

Boots - £10 Now I love Soap and Glory as much as the next girl but I was a little apprehensive on their make up as it can be pretty pricey. However I got this as a present at Christmas and I have to say my opinion has definitely changed! This is my every day mascara, it use to be for special days but I just love it too much to not use it!  Now my eyelashes are naturally quite long however with this mascara they look much longer and it curls them very nicely. Also it separates them quite evenly to get the big false effect which I love! The wand is huge which picks up a lot of the product, sometimes it does clump a little bit but I just try and wipe it off. I use this for college days as well as work and it holds pretty much all day, when I take it off on a night my face wipe is full of it! 

I would full recommend this mascara for every day use, it lengthens and slightly curls my lashes, it's dead black and despite being a little expensive I would definitely repurchase!

Kate Moss Matt Lipstick - Shade 111

I adore this lipstick! It's all I've been wearing recently, it's a wonderful colour. The fact it's matt is even better, for example if I'm wearing it all day at college and don't get change to reapply it has generally stayed on my lips for the full day, Obviously it's a little patchy and my lips are dry but the colour is still there. I love it!

S&G Hand Food

This is my cute sample sized hand food. I work at a fast food company and dry hands are a nightmare plus my hands do smell! I put this on every morning and night and my hands feel amazingly soft and the mix of the cream is rather thick and sinks in ever so well.

VO5 Smoothly Does it

This is the hair serum I apply before drying my hair and it smells great. Plus it makes my hair feel silky smooth after use. Out of all the 'heat defense' products they have to offer, I'd have to say this is my favorite so far!

Avon Super Length Mascara

Yes this is a cheap 'un but my lashes with this look amazing. They look well spaced and incredibly long, the best thing is the mixture doesn't clump on my eyelashes. Think it's become a firm favorite.

And last but not least...

My big glass memory jar. Now it looks as if I have hardly any recorded, that's because I write them all down in a little notebook and then when I have time copy then up on to ripped paper to pop in the jar. I've really enjoyed jotting things down in the last month, I can't wait to go through them all again!

Clean Girls | Soap & Glory

Soap & Glory's Clean Girls - £6 for 500ml.

I got this body wash in the huuuge gift set Boot's like to cut to half price just before Christmas and I love it. I really do, I'm not really that much into buying expensive body wash but seeing as if was S&G I thought I'd give it a whirl. I've been using this since Christmas day so I apply it pretty much everyday (as does my mum!) and as you can see I have about a quarter left, to me it seems to have lasted a pretty long time! Plus one pump is a good handful for a leg so you get the picture on usage. Also this stuff smells divine. I love the fact that after my bath my skin still smells of the stuff and it's silky smooth.  

At £6 for 500ml it does seem to be pretty pricey body wash but I'll definitely repurchase as I love the smell, it lasts a long time and me and my mum adore it! 

a new year, a new skincare rountine

It's been a while since I shared my skincare routine with you all and I thought with a new year I should make a new routine. I wanted something quick and easy for morning but also I wanted to try out all my new products I received from Christmas (there's a lot..) There isn't much here overall but I have college everyday so I wanted something quick for the morning as well as for nights because I sometimes have late shifts at work and I just want my bed!

Now I always start my routine after washing my hair.

I kick off with Soap and Glory's Face Soap & Clarity face wash, not only does the smell amazing but it also helps to get rid of any make up from the night before. Afterwards to make sure my skin is make up free I run over my face with some wipes. I then moisturize my face with Botanics Ultra Skin Calming Day Cream, not only does this stuff smell great it also makes my skin feel refreshed and clean. To top it all of I continually use Asda's own lip balm during the day and Soap & Glory's Hand Food which is a thick mixture but makes my hands feel soft, amazing and smell wonderful. Normally in a morning as well as applying make up and doing my hair this routine takes me about 25 minutes max, perfect for a college morning.

As you can see my night routine is a little bigger and does vary. I use a lot of product on my skin on a night normally to either take my make up off and remove any grease/oil from being at work, it makes my skin feel terrible! I always kick off my routine after a bath filled with bubbles.

I tend to start off with Soap & Glory's Peaches & Clean Cleansing Milk, now this product is slightly odd for a face product, it smells nice but doesn't really lather up when applied, it still does work rather nicely. Then depending on my day, I get rid of any extra dirt/oil on my face with Boot's own cleanser & toner along with cotton wool pads. I then apply Botanics Ultra Skin Calming Night Cream, it makes my skin feel refreshed after a long day at work/college and it feels so clean, the cream contains 'marshmallow' which smells divine! Then to top it all off for the rest of my skin I use my favorite body butter which is Soap & Glory's own Righteous Body Butter, it's a thick mixture with a smell to die for, it takes a while to sink in but leaves my skin as smooth as a baby's bottom!

I know my routine isn't full of high end luxury products but I'm happy with what I use and the effect everything has on my skin. I love Soap & Glory products because they always seem well suited to my skin.

Spoilt Bunny & Merry Christmas!

Hello all and merry Christmas I hope you all had a fine one indeed, I know I did filled to the brim with Christmas food, alcohol and family fun. I know I've been slightly scarce on posts this past month but with the run up to Christmas I just haven't had the time what with finding and buying presents, wrapping them up and then giving them. Not to mention college and work, lets say it all got a little hectic.

However on to the fun stuff, I like many other people got rather spoiled this Christmas, with many things I just wasn't expecting which is always lovely. So here is a little post just to show you all what I got. (This is in no way shape or form boasting of what I received  I just like to see this kind of posts and I hope you do too.) Bearing in mind I have 2 families and a lovely boyfriend to receive from. 

First off, my Soap & Glory collection. Just look at it! Most of this I received out of the big £60 gift set (reduced to £27) I received off my lovely boyfriend and the other bits and bobs of family members. It all smells so amazing, I can't wait to try everything out.

Bits and bobs here included a gorgeous hand stitched journal from Paperchase (I've been lusting them all year long!) an egg cup thing filled with bath bombs, lip balms and a really nice smelling Lush set which was a lovely surprise. 

Being the bookworm I am I got bought quite a few books as well as 1-4 seasons of The Big Bang Theory as well as a ton of chocolate like always. Since going up in bra sizes I got some gorgeous bra's bought from Debenhams and a really nice studded black biker jacket. 

As you can see I'm a spoilt but very happy little bunny. Also I got given money of other various relatives and also my gorgeous Galaxy Tablet in white from my dad. And in return everyone got a well loved present from me. On Christmas day we all had a rather big surprise before starting our meal, my mums boyfriend of nearly 4 years got down on one knee and proposed to her, which I think was terribly romantic!

The new year is rolling around so quick too! The idea of 2013 is ever so scary, my 2nd year of college, turning 18 and my boyfriend turning 20 and our year anniversary eek! I haven't even had chance for my own little spending spree in the sales, which I think will be on today's agenda and then I'll be spending the eve with my boyfriend and a few vodka redbulls. With the new year will come new posts and inspiration, I mean I have all these wonderful products to review! I also hit 150 followers while I was away, thank you to all you wonderful bloggers! Hopefully in the near future there'll be a giveaway!

Freebies from Family Members!

Don't you just love it when you visit a family member and they give you old cast offs of make up they either don't like or have never used. I do! My auntie is a prime example. Now I love my auntie to bits and I don't see her very much so when I do go round it's a treat for the both of us. She's ever so helpful whether it be books or make up she's there to help!

Now I've had these pictures sitting away on my computer forever on what I got from her a while ago simply because I was feeling a little dumb on the whole 'skin care routine' as my mums never quite helped out. As you can see my auntie is very giving simply because she may have the products to spare or maybe she just didn't like them/didn't use them. 

These are so of my favorite products she gave me. The book - well I'm simply a sucker for good books and my auntie has amazing taste! The other products however I was in dire need of to complete my skin care routine. She gave a me a cheap Boots cleanser & toner for my routine as well as eye make up wipes and some cotton pads. I also got the girly Lynx as she hates spray on deodorants and I rather like the smell of this one. 

Other bits and bobs included make up! Now some people think cast off make up quite gross but through my auntie I can explore different types of make up and brands without paying the price tag that sometimes is a little too much to explore a product! The reason why my auntie is so good at this is because we have similar skin tones (me and my mum are completely different) so the products we would both use are quite similar in the shades. One of my favorite things she gave me was all the lip balms I got a gorgeous Paperchase one and a Plamers Coca Butter which smells amazing.

Among this little haul I got MAC lip-glosses  Body Shop eyeliner, mascara and a gorgeous shade of foundation. I also got a lovely set of Soap & Glory eye shadows which I would never normally pick up. I also got a BB cream and a concealer - 2 products I've been desperately wanting to try out but had no idea where to start. 

Already from this little freebie haul I've got products I'm itching to repurchase despite the price tag being a little expensive. The foundation given to me was from Body Shop and costs around £13, normally I would say no (I may sound a little stingy when it comes to make up prices but I am a student with my first job so I aren't quite use to spending yet.)  but because of this I know it really suits my skin tone, is easy to take off and doesn't have a 'heavy feeling' that some foundations have. Sometimes like me all you need is a little push in the right direction for make up :) 

September Favorites

Okay so I have two main favorites from last month, my gorgeous parker coat and some make up which I've recently been using. 

Soap & Glory - The Righteous Butter 50ml- £2.50 // 300ml - £10.50

I've talked about this product on here before but I just can't get enough of it. When I do have chance to use it I smother myself with it. It smells so amazing and because the mixture is so thick it takes a while to seep into the skin but when it has my skin feels so wonderful! Always so smooth and so soft, it's what you want in a body butter and I definitely think it's worth the price tag. 

MUA - Immaculate Collection £8

Now I originally got this product for free because I spent £8+ on MUA products and when it arrived I didn't give it a second look as I'd bought the Undress palette but this month I've paid a little more attention to it and just wow. Some of the shades are amazing on this palette. All really well pigmented and when they go on the actual eye the colour is amazing and they don't fade really quickly like other eye shadows. It's such a gorgeous palette! I plan to use it more in the future, get one while you can!

Now I know monthly favorites are mainly about cosmetics and make up but I had to pop this one in. I'm aware these aren't on sale anymore because they literally sold out which makes me love mine even more. I had been on the hunt for one of these for a while and this one was cheap, comfy and incredibly warm! It has a lovely big fur hood and lots of deep pockets. Winter has only just started but I know this jacket is going to do me well in the even colder months. I love it!

August Favorites

So another end of the month gone I see! Where has August gone, literally?! It's now the 2nd of September and wow, this year has flown. Anyway, I've never actually done a monthly favorites post, mainly because I've never used quite enough products to love but I though 'hey why not!' My favorite parts for this month has to be getting my results and actually getting into college as well as finding a part time job! Over the moon I am, but also my college shopping, which you will all see later this week. Anyway roll on September and whatever it brings with it! 

Sublime Star Flowers & Pomegranate Shower Cream

Now I've been buying this a lot recently due to being away from home on holiday and staying over places and such. Normally I just buy a cheap shower gel and I'm done with it. But we've had this at my house for a while and I thought oh I'll just get this a try it. It smells amazing, it goes on and lathes up lovely even with the smallest amount. 

Soap & Glory Mist You Madly

I've had this since February this year and use it every day almost and it's still not empty. I'm normally a perfume girl but when I was bought this for Valentine's I couldn't help using it in place of perfume. It's a sweet girly smelling body spray that stays on for hours it seems. I'm not great with expensive products but this is cheap for the time it lasts!

MUA Glitter Ball Palette

Now everyone has been raving over MUA's 'Heaven and Earth' palette which I haven't had chance to use yet. I bought this on a whim, all the colors looked really nice and glittery. And it paid off, the colors go on really nicely, not too thick and blend really well with other colors on the palette, also they stay on quite well during the day. Perfect for everyday eye make up. 

MUA Red Lipstick - Shade 13

This was also bought on a whim, I've never actually fully used a lipstick but this one is one it's way. Simple and easy to apply, no smudges and stays on quite a while. However after applying it all the time during the day it does start to run a a little but what can you expect from a £1 lipstick? It's perfect for a vibrant shade for everyday use, I know I use it pretty much every day.

Collection 2000 'Fake Lashes' Mascara

This is a daily use for me too, even with no eye make up or powder I apply this and it alone spruces up my face. I have naturally long lashes anyway but this makes them look even nice. The price is quite reasonable and this has lasted me quite long, so I can't complain about it. My favorite mascara to date. The first one I had was a gift and I'm so glad I received it.

Daily Hoot is run by an amazing girl called Vicky. She blogs life, wishlists, beauty and fashion. I adore her posts, I always enjoy reading them because their interesting, informative and just lovely to read. I found this through a Liebester nominated when I first started blogging and followed straight away. She seems like a lovely girl and even with the age gap she seems like a really easy girl to get along with. Vicky can be found here. 

Futures is run by a lovely girl called Bex. I only recently started following this lovely blog this month but I love every single post. I especially enjoy 'Love, Like Loathe' which she runs every Monday and get other bloggers to do and link up, which I really enjoy doing. I found her through another bloggers twitter. She blogs about life, make up and cosmetics and her posts are really well written and intresting to read. Bex can be found here.

Soap and Glory!

My guess is that pretty much all girls have tried this stuff and if you haven't get something from their range! I myself haven't bought any out of my own pocket but I have been bought a few products and I have to say I love it. For valentine's day, way back this year my boyfriend bought me some (this is when we got together) and I still have some of it. I have to say it's quite expensive which means I won't always buy it, but when it's on offer I always hunt for the bargains.

My favorite bits he got me (2/3) was the lipgloss and body spray. First of all the lipgloss is one of thoose 'lip pumpers' where the lipgloss actually tingles. It feels really odd but nice and also it's a very nice color. The second item of the two the body spray, I adore. As do many of my family. It's a very sweet scent but not so overly-powerful like a little girly scent. It's just right for a quick spray because it really freshens up up and smells amazing.

They all do seem quite expensive for the amount you get, yet I've been using them all since February and safe to say their not empty yet!
