the books of 2013

A new year, a new set of books!
Last year I set myself a challenge of reading 50 books in one year which I managed to complete! Goodreads said I didn't but I had a read a few books before I joined Goodreads. However this year I have a new challenge; 70 books in one year! Now I'm an avid reader but for me this is a big challenge so wish me luck. I also told myself when buying new books I need to explore different genres more. So here are some of the books for the new year. (Mostly Christmas presents!)
Most of these I was bought for Christmas but some have been waiting on my shelves to be read. So this year I opted for a more organised reading kind of 'space'. I thought to myself "I really want somewhere I can put all of my unread books so I know I can always find them" and so I bought the gorgeous box from Matalan for £5 (I bought one for all my beauty products this year too!)

Of course I have lots of other books to read and buy but here's just a few on my list. A few I'm looking forward to are the Cassandra Clare books and Crime & Punishment :)

What's on your to-read list this year?

Organising 2013

The beginning of the year is always important, it's the new start to everything. This year I've taken it upon myself to be organised, which means writing everything from college down and actually doing the work before deadline rather than on it, to organize my blogging routine but also my skin care routine. To start myself off I wanted a new bag for a new year, one that would see me all the way through this college year and one that I will stick with and I found this beauty.
Yes, it'a a real Cambridge School satchel and I picked it up for such a lovely price (£60) and I just know it's going to see me through this year well. It's so gorgeous and sturdy, plus it has that new leather smell which is divine!

Also to get organised in this new year I bought a whole loads of cute notebooks as well as an organizer. The notebooks I can use for lists and notes and to just carry around in case I ever need paper and the organizer for work and college, I can keep track of all my hours and work in the same place! Plus I bought it from Paperchase and it's so cute.
Also I love the idea of carrying a notebook so I can write down anything wherever I am, which is a lovely idea. I hope that by doing this I can crack down for my exams in May this year and really do well at my first year for college. Also the small kid in me wanted new notebooks, just because heh.

MUA Haul!

Okay so I've been waiting for this delivery all week and it finally came after I had to get it redelivered a few times. This little splurge was mainly because I had money in the bank, wanted new make up and mix that up with early morning scrolling, here we are!
As you can see I've got for one of MUA's popular palettes - Undressed as well as some new lippy, eyeliner and mascara. Oh I also got the big 24 shade palette for free (spent over £8!) and I just couldn't help myself, I love bargains and I just had to have this one.
I absolutely adore every palette MUA has to offer, although some of the shades do look very similar it's always better to have more then you need in case you run out! Now I've been lusting after one of either 'Heaven and Earth' or 'Undressed' palettes because I've been reading a lot of reviews on them recently and they sound so good. Not only do I want to review it myself but I'd love to wear these colors on a daily basis.
Undressed Palette - £4.00
24 Shade 'Immaculate Collection' Palette - £8.00 (free when you spent £8 or more in Superdrug or on the MUA website).
MUA Lipstick Shade 6 - £1.00
Sorry for the picture being a little blurry, these were hard to photograph!
Extreme Felt Liner - £2.00
MUA Black Mascara - £1.00

Now I don't know about you but I adore MUA, not only because their cheap but their products are actually really good, they are high quality and easy to replace! I also got something else not MUA.
Botanics Skin Calming Night Cream - £4.65 (on offer).
Now I've been looking everywhere for a decent moistureer, one not too runny and that feels my skin feeling refreshed. This certainly does the trick! I'll defintely go back to it.

Also on a small note, last night me and my boyfriend booked tickets to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show in theatre next April. Nowe you may not know this but I've been wanting to see this on stage every since watching the film, so I reckon about 5 years. Yes we will dress up, I'm so excited already. If you don't know what it is, here's one of the most famous songs from it. Also Richard O'Brien made it!
