June DEGUSTABOX

Hello guys, I've never really heard of this box before, I just saw an add on facebook  for 50% off your first box (normally £12.99) and thought "Damn I have to try that" and after reading Hayley's post about the May box I was super excited to receive mine. I use to be subscribed to boxes such as Glossybox and Graze but they never really did anything for me and more often than not I wouldn't use the products. However this box sends you 9-14 full sized products you can munch or slurp your way through. How great is that??

Even the box it comes in is cool.
For starters there was a big bottle of Lambrini's new flavor of Strawberry, little confession here, this was all I use to drink when I was at family parties, it's so sweet so I'm excited to try this new flavor. Next up was Estrella Damm if not for the info sheet packed at the bottom I wouldn't have a clue what this was... It is in fact larger, I don't actually drink beer but I will try it, let's hope it's sweet! The Be Fast breakfast drink's would have been great as in the morning's I'm ever so lazy, I'm not keen on Banana flavored things but I'll give it a try.

There was a big box of Alpha Bites and Tyrrells Proper Popcorn slipped down the side as my 'extra treat' as it was my first box. I can't wait to try these two, the popcorn looks scrummy in the packaging so I'll be popping that in my bag for a work snack. They also included some Veetee Rice with a nutty under flavor, I don't eat rice but my boyfriend does so I'll pop that his way!

I've seen these in the May box and really wanted to try them for myself and they were the Elizabeth Shaw Milk Chocolate Amaretto Flutes, I'm actually munching on them as we speak! They taste amazing, I didn't know what to expect with the amaretto but it just adds to the chocolate flavor, mmmh. The Urban Fruit Pineapple snacks look a treat, something else to take to work with me. Finally I got sent the Dr Oetker Vanilla Grinder which comes at a perfect time as I'm obsessed with making brownies, next time I'll have to add a little vanilla to the mix and see how it tastes!

Overall I'm really impressed with my first  Degustabox and I can't wait for next months to arrive already!

Hull Fair

If you aren't from Hull you probably have no idea what I'm on about, so let me give you a little background info. For as long as I can remember we've had a fair in our city in the beginning weeks of October (apparently over 700 years?!). With it comes rides of huge size, sweet and food stalls selling whatever you can think of and stalls basically selling crap. Despite it sounding like this it's actually rather nice and has been a tradition for me to go every year since being very small. It is known as one of Europe's largest travelling fun fairs which comes to us in Hull for a week and it arrives on the second Tuesday of October every year. (For more info go here).

So I went this week on Monday, I dragged my boyfriend along who was definitely not up for it. I use to be a rides person but because fair is run by Gypsy's and I've had some bad experience on fair's rides I stuck to the sweet stalls and the waltzer's which turned out alright. Also the thing about Fair is never take too much money, yes there may be pickpockets but with me for instance I just like to spend it because I like the goodies. However here's what I wore; (it was freezing!)
parker - matalan // polo - primark
cat skirt - h&m // jumper -primark

 After dressing up like this I can happily say I was lovely and warm all night long which was a massive bonus because walking up and down a street for a few hours can get quite cold. Also some of the stalls at Fair are so amazing, especially this one;
This stall was just full of the most amazing fudge/cookies/buns. I honestly just wanted to buy everything but limiting myself to a £15 limit was tough! The buns and cookies were £1.50 each and they honestly looked amazing. I wanted one of every flavour to be honest.

Here are so more pictures of Fair (I didn't take all that many because it was way too dark).
a snow cone stall! // massive huge swings ride // doughnuts and nutella!
the boyfriend won me a teddy & bought me a camper van picture // laces and other goodies!

Not many pictures I know but I'm going again this Saturday which my dad and little brother so hopefully in my instagram post there'll be a some more pictures to oogle and I can get myself some of those nice treats off the lovely little stall! Also I said I went on the waltzer's, it was happy hour so I couldn't resist paying a £1. Hands down my favourite fair ride but I'm a roller coaster girl at heart!

What are your favourite fair ground / theme park ride?

Graze Box!

As you're all probably aware there's a fab new website called Graze where you can buy a box of healthy snacks. You sign up, (First box is free!) and you can click 'try' 'like' 'love' or 'bin' on the items they have and this determines what you get in your box every time your order one. This can act as part of a healthy eating diet or just as a one off thing you may want to try, you can pick the days your box arrive and you could even have 2+ a week if that's what you really fancied. They have items from dried fruit to flapjack and their newest items on the list 'popping corn' all of the snacks they offer are healthy and part of your five a day!
This is my 3rd box so far and this one I'm really impressed with, I'm picky with certain things but this box really did hit the nail on the head. It was full of yummy goodies! It did come a day later however which I was overly impressed with because the day you pick for your order is the day you get them.
However the contents made up for the late arrival! This was by far my absolute favorite! It was called 'Cookies and Cream' and inside we got mini cookies, white chocolate, hazel nuts and sunflower seeds. It was so delicious! I normally get these boxes for me and my boyfriend to share and this was one scoffed in seconds! (216 calories per punnet).
This was the second favorite by far! This one was called 'Marvelous Macaroon' and this is from the new section on the Graze website. Inside we got white chocolate, amaretti drops, almond slices and coconut. Now this really was a flavor mix up but it was lovely and it smelt so good too! Now I'm not a huge fan of coconut so I think I'll pass next time. (158 calories per punnet).
Now the last two punnets I received was Olives- Chilli & Garlic (131 calories per punnet) and Toffee Apple (67.5 calories per punnet) neither of which I have tried firstly because I dislike olives and the toffee apple doesn't look all that appetizing but I will give it a go! I can't wait to get my next box in the post!

Want to give it a try yourself? Sign up today at www.graze.com enter this code: WZCQ3TZD when signing up, tell the website what you'd like to try and then receive your box in the post oh and your first box is also free! I hope you enjoy.

Payday!

Yes it was payday for some people today, but not me, saddening I know. I may have a paper round but it doesn't come with a proper paycheck, boohoo. However it was my boyfriends pay day today and well he thought he'd treat me =^.^= It was his second but the first one he got to enjoy fully seeing as the first one he owed most of it out, anyway on to the pictures of all my lovely goodies.

1. Okay so I didn't get this wallet or the Mario one I also adored, but I think next time I'll just have to get it although it's £7 :(
2 & 3. Is my amazingly cute build a bear which Tom bought me for £9 eep which I called Pumpkin :-)
4. My Mum gave me the money for this and some jeans I bought which is gorgeous - Primark £17.
5. At first I thought this was a dress but it turned out to be a playsuit which I still adore - Chinese Laundry £5.
6. Last but certainly not least is my gorgeous sailor dress which I have lusted after for the last few months which Tom finally bought me! I don't think I could of wanted for anything more then this. Most prized dress ever - Chinese Laundry £25.

We also went to Krispy Kreme and tried out two more different flavors of doughnuts (tradition ^.^) and we also just chilled around town for a while. But my most favorite part of the day was that tom bought me a gorgeous 12mm wooden plug which I'm just in love with, it's gorgeous. Oh and the fact Tom was also pricing up some piercings today, we was going for tattoos too because I wanted to price mine up but we didn't have time. So I think next pay check he's going to get them done, eek I'm excited.

Anyway I now have to pack as I'm going camping till Thursday which means no more blogging, bummer :c
