Girl in the Tartan Dress // OOTD

I haven't done any OOTD's in forever, I have a few due to be posted from my birthday but I'm waiting to photograph all my pressies (I just haven't had the time!) so I thought you could all have one that I wore to college yesterday. The dress is waaaaay 'dressy' in my mums opinion but I felt cute for college, so oh well!

I'm soooo in love with the print on this dress! Just makes me feel all pretty and girly, plus the heels with are incredibly comfy at first but kill my feet after a day at college (they are pretty big!). Also the coat makes me feel amazing, I don't know why but it's one of my favorite purchases ever.

Here it all is put together! Between you and me I felt pretty good at college, not to brag I just felt pretty. I'd also tried out my new curling tongs (kind of a success!) and also I tried the vintage hair look of the 'pomp' which is basically a quiff with the sides of my hair pinned back which didn't go to badly!
ps. excuse the random objects in the photos and the background, these were taken quickly and the weather was poo outside!

There's only 365 days left until next Halloween! // Tattoo Time!

Let me start this off by wishing you all a 'Happy Halloween!'
I hope you all enjoy the parties and treats you're all going to enjoy tonight while I'm at work! I've had my celebrations (which were last weekend) so it's okay, I can chomp down on all the left over sweets tomorrow. However time to move on to bigger and maybe even better things!
Like I said in my 'returning' post I had an exciting thing to share with you all that happened yesterday! I know many of you may already know and have seen it through facebook/instagram/twitter and what not but I just knew I had to post this baby, because not only am I so proud of it and want to show everyone, I feel it gives more insight to me and who I am as a person....

So yesterday I went and got my first tattoo! I turned 18 last Wednesday (I'll blog about that too don't worry!) and I decided to go all out for it and get a tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted, I'm not sure of the exact meaning behind them and why they are so important. All I know is that they are perfect, on me forever and that is good with me! It is huuuge (to me) and detailed and took around 4/5 hours, safe to say me and Chris were stiff by the time he had finished the shading! So without further ado here you are guys!
LOOK HOW PRETTY MY BABIES ARE.
Okay people the one on the left is just the outline done, which took 2 hours! The one on the right is literally 5 minutes after Chris finished it, 4 and a half hours later... Very sore and very bloody but amazing. I feel like Jack and Sally were captured perfectly.
These next photos were taken at about 9:30pm last night, I wondered how they would look under a SLR lense (the two above are just iPhone camera quality) so I asked my boyfriend to take a few snaps of them.

This next one is a personal favorite of mine, just because. I look so damn pleased!

The guy that did my work goes by the name of @chriscolour on instagram and he is amazing, so check out his work - he does a lot of colour but he wants to do a lot more black and white shading. All I can say is that I want more and more, specially from him because this is perfect. In fact I'm already thinking about booking my next one, I just need the cash. I think next time round it has to be Victor and his Corpse Bride to complete the set! One thing I will say is that yes it did hurt, the outline was completely fine apart from some parts but the shading was a bitch.

They are so worth the money, pain and time it took and I want my next one now!

ps. sweets to all who can guess where the title of this post came from! ;)

The Autumn Tag!

I'm a girl that absolutely loves Autumn. I can't think of anything better than being cozy on the couch which a big fluffy jumper, slippers and a hot chocolate!  Someone about being inside while it pours down just makes me feel so content and cozy, lets face it.. I love the cold weather so much more than the sweaty sun! I've been tagged by countless people for this tag so I thought I'd join in myself!
1. Favorite thing about it?
Big thick jumpers and a brand new pair of boots. I love big fluffy jumpers you can just cuddle down in and cozy up on the couch. I love wrapping up in lots of layers and thick tights and stepping out into the cold weather knowing full well I'm toasty. Also the idea of curling up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a good film while it pours outside.

2. Favorite drink?
If I'm at home it has to be Options Hot Chocolate but if it's from a shop I will just drink cup after cup of hot chocolate!

3. Favorite scent/candle?
I'm not entirely sure why but I love the smell of vanilla if it's not too overpowering. But I like anything that smells nice especially the spiced pear (?) Yankee Candle!

4. Best lipstick?
I wear red every day of the week and winter/autumn is no different. I have a new favorite lippy and that is in the form of a matte one from Revlon. Or just a simple lip balm because my lips crack like mad.

5. Go to moisturizer?
I don't really tend to change types with the seasons I just use the a hell of a lot more. Currently I'm using the No7 dry/combination day and night cream - the ones in the green tubs!

6. Go to colours for the eyes?
I do love neutrals so I think it's time to bring back the golds and browns. However I never find anything wrong with good old flicks!

7. Favorite music or band/singer to listen to?
To be honest my music taste never changes with the season - only at Christmas time when I blast the hits 24/7... from the middle of November.

8. favorite outfit to wear (i.e. boots & a scarf combo)?
I normally wear jeans, a woolly jumper and a thick scarf. However this year I've opted more for summer skirts and dresses coupled up with thick woolen tights and a jumper and scarf to match! (I hate wearing hats so it's normally a big furry hood for me.) It's always my doc martens or new rocks this time of year!
(cozy clothes bought for Autumn!)

9. Autumn treat?
A huge tub of my favorite hot chocolate, cookies and always a new scarf.

10. Favorite place to be?
Snuggled in bed at home with a warm drink, good films and molly my Westie.
(my snuggle buddy!)

Someone's Been a Busy Bee // Life Update

Hello boys and girls!
It seems that I haven't been around since maybe September time? Oops! It seems time has taken me away, I got caught up being back at college and seeing all my friends, it's mad to think it's now nearly the end of October eek! I though I'd do a little post on what I've been getting up to before I start back on my hauls and beauty reviews, I've got all the pictures lined up I just need to write!

♡ I recently returned to college, picking up my A2 courses and I'm slowly getting to grips with everything however there seems to be so much more work for this year that I wasn't prepared for - boohoo!
♡ As well as returning to college I've hurried myself into my UCAS personal statement and application for university. I have my heart set on either York or Leeds and I just want my application sent off as soon as!
♡ My boyfriend recently turned 20 (old I know boooo) but we went out for a lovely meal with him family and my present was GTA V, safe to say he's been missing for weeks... heh.
♡ I have a wonderful event to blog about after this coming Wednesday - I've booked my first tattoo and I'm so excited to show it to you all, so stay tuned it's gorgeous and so very me :)
♡ A lot of my friends have been turning 18 so I've been buying presents and going to parties. My favorite one was one of my best friends fancy dress party. I dressed up as Frank and my boyfriend as an army dude, here's a picture for you all! I was so proud of my make up so expect a post on it!
♡ I turned 18 yay and celebrated a hell of a lot yay!
I hope to post properly on this so I won't say much, I will only say I expect a few outfit posts, a wishlist and maybe a wee haul of what I was lucky enough to get. But for now have a picture of me and my twin at Frankie & Benny's! Let's just say turning 18 was fab, we did a hell of a lot of drinking and eating and had a fab time doing it!
I'll see you all in my next post and I hope you're all okay. I have lots to share with you that I'm ever so excited about :)

Back to College; 2 Weeks Late!!

I'm back guys! I'm back!
It seems that Summer and a wee bit of Autumn caught up with me while I was enjoying myself but I am finally back into the swings of things with work and college life. I've treated myself to a great deal this summer which I can't wait to share with you all. However today I've got one of my favorite posts for you, a stationery haul!!! I did this literally at the beginning of my college term and everything is fabbity fab.

I just couldn't help myself to a cute pencil case that reminds me of Cath Kidson and the hello kitty pen! It just called to me, it was just so cute and I knew I had to have it oops.

I also helped myself to some funky fine liners that I didn't really need but wanted...
I hope I prepped well for college this year however a few weeks in my Bic highlighters are running out! I still need some big folders for my work, I'm hoping for some nice design-y ones and I ended up buying some Paperchase notebooks (heh). But yeah I'm all prepared especially with a new gorgeous bag which I'll include in my clothing haul tomorrow!

I hope everyone's had a wonderful first month or so back at college/school, I know I have!

*~ 18 months ~*

14.08.2013

Yesterday was mine and my wonderful boyfriends year and a half anniversary and I just thought I'd do a little post to document it! I know for the better part of a month I've been ~MIA~ purely due to working a lot and then spending all my free time with the lovely man above but hey once college kicks off again hey! I WILL be back. I have tons of products to review and tons to show you all which I just currently love. And a lot of videos to upload oops..

Anyway,  we went out for a lovely meal in Pizza Hut ;) how classy and a little spend in the town centre. We have something better planned for weekend which includes drinking a hell of a lot in a wonderful club and then collapsing into a comfy double bed in a Premier Inn on Sunday night! Today I wore my gorgeous new New Look dress, paired with my favorite Doc Martens and favorite red lip.
I hope you've all had a wonderful summer so far! & here is todays outfit xoxo

Summer Spree!

 photo DSC_8127_zps54d52aab.jpg
Oops I did it again!
Indeed I did, it was payday last week and I thought I would treat myself to some new bright nail polish after all the gorgeous weather we've been having. As well as that it was my grandma's birthday and I really wanted to get her something she would love. I bought her the brand, new out No7 mascara (not pictured, in the gold tube) which she did end up loving. There was also a promotion on if you bought 2 No7 products you got a free gift set, so guess who spent over £30 in Boots - eek!

So I ended up buying 2 Barry M polishes (the third was a free gift) in Passion Fruit and Strawberry, the free one was BLE? The No7 Stay Perfect polish was in Foxglove. I also picked myself up a Revlon Kissable stain for £2 cheaper in the shade Honey which is sooo gorgeous!
 photo DSC_8136_zps4bf8f09f.jpg
On to the free gifts, it was said everything together was worth about £30 and I am overall very happy with what I got :) In this cute little set I got a Tinted Moisturizer in fair (which is a little meh), Airbrush Away Primer, a full sized tube on their High Shine gloss in Coral Kiss, a sample of their Stay Perfect eye shadow I'm not exactly sure what the colour is but when on it's a gorgeous pale blue/purple shade full of glitter. Last but not least an Extreme Length mascara - I wish this was full size because it's amazing! I feel like it give the same effect of Benefit's Their Real but for a much cheaper price (which I hope to put to the test).

I've already worn Barry M's passion Fruit which is an unbelievably gorgeous shade!
Have you guys been shopping recently? I love reading haul posts ;)

Punking Up with New Rocks!

I recently bought a new pair of shoes, oops! However these babies are gorgeous, their not a 'normal' type of shoe, much like when creepers came out people HATED them. So if you don't like them, cool! I sure do love them and they are unusual but I've always wanted a pair :)
See what I mean, not normal!
However I picked these babies up off an eBay auction, I'm terrible with waiting around so I quickly clicked the 'buy it now!' button and they arrived today :)))) I'm not entirely sure why but I have always wanted a pair and these were in my size. The seller said they had only been worn literally once and I paid £80 for them with delivery. I'm such a happy girl and better yet my boyfriend doesn't mind them :)

See you tomorrow  with a beauty post!

Pink Ladies | FOTD

 photo DSC_8137_zps06eec1b6.jpg
I recently did a lovely eyeshadow look for work that I wanted to share with you all as I'm trying to get in to the whole 'I won't wear eyeliner everyday!' It was actually unintentional, I just meant for the look to be a nice pale pinky colour and due to my crease brush having a little black colour from the day before it transferred and darkened my look, but I liked it even more!

For the base colour I used my NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk and the base shade was number 5 which I dusted all over my lid and the crease shade number 6 in this sleek palette (full of my favorite colours!!) which I put into my crease and blended outwards and down which is when the black transferred down.

Face
Real Techniques Buffing brush & contour brush
No7 Beautifully Matte make up base
No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Calico
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matt Powder in Pink Blossom
Mac Mineralize Blush in Gentle

Eyes
NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk for the base
Shades 5 & 6 in the Sleek Storm palette (5 on the bottom, 6 on the crease)
No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara

Lips
Palmer's Cococa Butter Lip Balm
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Stain in 001 Honey Douche

I recently went on a little spree which included quite a few No7 products and a few balm stains from Revlon which I'm currently loving. The new mascara I bought seems like a perfect dupe for the Benefit They're Real mascara so look out for some reviews from me in the future! Also despite the 'look' not being what I planned, I absolutely love it and I may have to try and recreate this! :)

A World Full of Nail Polish!

I'm back guys with an amazing haul for you all which didn't even cost me a penny! Now I love painting my nails I don't get to do it very much but when I do it's a different colour every time! So when I was given a carrier bag full of nail polish from my auntie I jumped with joy and lemme tell you, there's so many absolutely gorgeous colours that I can't wait to try them all out.
 photo DSC_81101_zpsf9947855.jpg
I haven't a clue what's wrong with her because all of these shades are ever so gorgeous and so wearable!! However they're all now mine to wear and love which I shall do gladly. The ones I'm most looking forward to trying are defintely the Topshop and Maybelline polishes, the colours just look perfect.

January - June Reading Wrap Up!

So I did start to write the books I've current read into blog posts for my Goodread's reading challenge this year but I kept forgetting about them and sometimes I didn't read as much and those posts slowly went out of the window... until now! I've decided to take a different approach - of filming a video! At the end of the month I will gather together the books I have read that month and 'mini review' them all for you on my YouTube, However today i bring you all of the books I've read between January and the end of June.
I hope you enjoy this video and massive thanks to Hayley for inspiring me to do this (she's started it herself here!)

(sorry they look horribly messy, I'm really bad at painting my nails :c)
Hello everyone today I bring you another update for my nail polish challenge, I've got so many photos of all the other colours I've been wearing but this is a big favorite of mine! (Also sorry for the extreme lack of posts, I'm busy finishing my first year of college with last minute pieces of work and I've been earning lots of ££ lately but I break off on Friday hooray!). Anyway... how gorgeous is this colour? The bottle shows it to be rather dark which I was a little skeptical about but my my the colour on is ever so gorgeous, I love it!

It feels like such a vibrant summery colour and I just want to wear this all the time. It's a reasonably new polish of mine so it definitely isn't getting binned, I'm thinking of buying even more Barry M shades, despite the dry time to be slow the colours are amazing!!

R.R.P - £9.50

This lipstick purely is amazing. My mum got given this No7 lippy and she offered me it and I was a bit like 'meh it's pink I don't really like it' and then Hayley mentioned in it a video on our collab channel and I thought, I need that! By the off chance I realized the lippy that was given was not only No7 but also this shade, dream come true! Since nabbing this I have just worn it constantly, it's become my new favorite shade besides from red. It's not normally a colour I would go for and upon trying it for the first time I still felt like 'oh good lord that looks terrible' but the shade has really grown on me.
 photo DSC_7947_zps0b3d15d7.jpg
It has wonderful pigmentation and when applying it feels more like a balm then a lippy which means no smudges AND it doesn't bleed! It really is a dream come true for me because I tend to stick to matte lipsticks. I will definitely repurchase this colour and maybe even a red to see if the quality is just as good! The lasting power is also very good, I do reapply after a few hours due to habit but I would give this around 3/4 hours which is pretty damn goood. (This post is so photo heavy but the colour is just gorgeous so it's okay!)
& this is what it looks like on!! (yes taken with my iPhone whoops)
