S&G Hand Food // Review

From being a little kid I always wanted to be a lover of hand cream because my mum was obsessed with the stuff! And now I am. So when I had the chance I picked up a small sample bottle of Soap & Glory's own to try out for myself, I then later got the big bottle with the huge Christmas gift set. Now everyone knows that this stuff smells absolutely heavenly and to die for! Plus the simplistic yet girly looking packaging is very appealing, especially to me.

The formula is very thick and creamy and it smells wonderful with their own 'branded scent' and a little bit goes a long way with this cream! As the formula is thick once rubbed into all the nooks and crannies it slowly sinks in and leaves my skin feeling amazing. Sometimes it does take a little while to sink in but it doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky which is always important!

I love the fact that there is a travel size as well as the normal size. I tend to use my smaller bottle a lot when I'm away from home such as college or work, it easily fits into my bag and is always to hand. As I work in a fast food restaurant my hands tend to smell and get rather rough during a shift so afterwards is when I slap some hand food on and it works a treat while the bigger bottle stays at home for mornings.

I will always repurchase this product. I absolutely adore this product and it's scent!

Think Pink Bath Ballistic // Review

I recently won a giveaway for a Lush gift set and I couldn't wait for it to arrive, one of the items inside was this cute little bath bomb. It smelt absolutely amazing, also when picking it up it was rather crumbly so I was very excited to use it!
 photo DSCF7518_zpsb9a7d644.jpg
"Bathe in sweet, fragrant pinkness with an explosion of confetti hearts."

Looking at it un-melted the bomb is very pink, girly and cute full of flowers. It smelt very pink and girly so I couldn't wait to get it in the bath. Little did I know that once melted it held little confetti hearts inside! That was the best bit about this bomb for me, normally I don't like them but for this particular one I felt in fit in very well with the 'pink and girly' theme so I didn't mind.
 photo DSCF7529_zpsc2bd0c6f.jpg
As you can see the water went a very nice pale pinky colour which looked very relaxing and inviting. The water smelt ever so wonderful, the website hints at vanilla with ingredients so maybe that's why it smelt so nice! Now for me this bomb smells nice and looks nice but because it's so pink I think I'll invest in some of the bombs I haven't tried yet instead of repurchasing this :)

A-Z of Me: A

A is for Art
I love the whole idea of controversial art from people like Marc Quinn, Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst, they create some amazing pieces!
Now in school I must of been the worst person possible in art. I hated drawing, I genuinely couldn't stand it and well I was pretty rubbish at it too. However I grew up a little bit and in year 9 I took a Art & Creative Writing class to earn a few more GCSE's so I thought hey why not. My work was good but then David Cameron came to power and well lets just say my work for the full year didn't even get a mark and my confidence was well.. gone.
However year 11 rolled around and I took a Creative & Media Diploma and with it game an Art BTEC which I was dreading.. however I came out with an A (!!!) and this gorgeous creation!
I could not be more proud of myself and Cheryl for actually completing these figures, I would say these are one of my biggest accomplishments ever. It took around maybe 50 hours over a few months to actually complete them and they were really difficult to get everything perfect and in place but look at them.. They were so worth it. I give you Victor and his Corpse Bride.

It's all about the bag! // Wishlist #4

one - two - three - four - five

Now I've always thought of Ted Baker bags as the horrible plastic ones with the big bows that nearly every girl in and out of college has... How wrong I was. Now I didn't like those bags so I thought hey I won't like any TB bags... Oh dear.
I would have to say without a doubt the third is most definitely my favorite!

Above I have put together a selection of ones I just about adore. There's little ones and big ones and ones in between  so one for every occasion! First off I adore the tan colour on bags, I crave tan bags so the Tote with a bow is just to die for, I just want it, however the price tag makes me cry a little (£230). But also does the black one next to it, I love anything it tote form and for me would be perfect for college because I carry a lot of stuff!

However I do like my smaller bags and and the colour tan and baby pink bag would be perfect for a night out or even a meal out, to me it's so cute and dainty oh and it's the perfect colour every for a bag! If I could I would use a tan bag with every outfit, even if it didn't go.. oops. Mind, the red bag is so gorgeous and the colour is so deep and just perfect for every day use as it has handles as well as a strap, so good for me! All the bags look roomy but also lightweight. The designs are simplistic but every so gorgeous.

I wish I were a rich girl.

Away in Wonderland...*

 photo DSCF7622_zpsc0ca1693.jpg
retails at £24.95 - mobilefun

Another 'booky type' post for you all today but I promise this is a good one! I've been looking for a decent yet pretty kindle case for a while and mine being the 'older' kindle they were rather pricey and well not that nice.. However I got a lovely email the other day asking if I'd like to review one of these special 'Klevercases' which are made by a proper book binding company... HELL YES I WOULD! (^.^)

I love hardback books and this case is absolutely perfect for me and my kindle, I tend to drop it in my bag and can never find it as it slips to the bottom, the cases makes it stand out more and easier to grab in my bag! Plus just look at the cover, how perfect is this? Now I said I needed a case, this is more than perfect! It's also light weight and well... It's perfect.

I was so so excited to receive this product, it's just so 'me' and I can keep my Kindle safe and sound wherever I go. I love the fact I'm storing 100's of books inside an older one. Plus it opens like a book and the binding is so expertly done and gorgeous. I would say these are well worth the money, hand made with a cute little message on the wrapping paper! Plus the idea is just so original  I love the fact that I've only heard this company making them, plus there's ton's of classic cover designs to choose from!

* although the  alice in wonderland was sent to me for reviewing purposes this does not effect my opinion on it and my review of it is 100% honest, as always

Books - This or That? // Tag

I love taking part in tags and ones about books even more!
If you take part link me, I love reading peoples answers, (I'm nosy ^.^ !)

Audio books or book in hand?
I've never actually listened to an audio book before! I would love to own all of the HP books on audio but they are so darn expensive. I will eventually try them but there's no way you can beat a book in hand! Plus I love the feel of a physical book.

Soft or hard cover?
I absolutely adore hard backs! However they do get pretty pricey and are huge and heavy to carry around. Normal books I just buy in paperback but if it's a special one to me e.g. Casual Vacancy by J.K. I bought it in hardback, I guess it makes the book more special.

Fiction or non-fiction?
I haven't really read much non-fiction, it doesn't really interest me. I enjoy auto-biographies and certain books on psychology but fiction has the biggest library ever, there will always be so many books out there for me.

Fantasy word or real-life issues?
Fantasy is such a huge favorite of mine, I love loosing myself inside a fantasy world full of magic and myths. Their so much more exciting and I like books with real life issues but anything like LOTR and murder mysterious, right up my street!

Harry Potter or Twilight?
I love HP, die hard here! My mum use to read them to me and my brother when I was little and I've never forgotten that. However I did read the Twilight books and at first I loved them, I then grew up a bit and wondered why my interest had been so big! I just feel now the writing is terrible and just yuck! The Harry Potter books are ones that I will re-read all of the time and never get bored.

Kindle, iPad or other?
I have a Kindle from my Grandad and I do adore it, I can finish a book and start a new one already. However I love to have physical copies of books I feel it to be a waste of money to buy them on the Kindle as well, meaning most of my Kindle books are free!

Borrow or buy?
I've tried libraries and I love them because I find books I would never ever read, but I'll read a book and grow to love it and then I just want it. I prefer to buy and then read, if I don't like the book one of my family members probably will, we're all book mad!

Book store or by online?
I love visiting bookstores but we only have a Waterstones and it sure is expensive! Meaning Amazon is my best friend for new books, I really need to explore more and find cute little bookstore in my town, I love to browse books in my hands rather than online, I normally have a sneaky peek inside too. I tend to buy bookstore when I just 'need' the book and I just can't wait.

Standalone or series?
I really do love both, I love the idea of tons of books about the same characters I'm just impatient when waiting for publishing! I tend to randomly buy books and find out their part of a series. Sometimes it depends on my mood, I love both types but I guess I hate waiting around.

Monster read or short and sweet?
I love monster reads! Especially Stephen King novels, he sure knows how to write a killer in 600+ pages! More pages always means more to read, more character development and I just get lost. I do like short reads but I do tend to get a little bored..

Nerd Girl Problems
Starry eyed romance or full of action?
I like a book with a bit of both, things are always more interesting when girls are involved. Romance novels are sometimes good and I enjoy them but I tend to get bored if their stereo-typically mushy.

Curl up in your snuggie or lay in the sun?
I love curling up! With the English weather at the moment it's getting sunny but I'm not about to trust it, I can it pouring down with rain next week!

Hot chocolate or latte?
I'm so peculiar with hot drinks, I'll only drink sweet tea and I LOVE hot chocolate, however it has to be thick, creamy and very chocolaty  I could curl up with one of them, my boyfriend and a book and that would be a well deserved night in! ♡

Read the review or decide for yourself?
I hate to read book reviews because then I get put off a book despite really wanting to read it, it's the same with people's opinions. I prefer to read the book for myself and then check the reviews out, see if people agree or not. Plus I like to see what people think, reviews are always so much better afterwards!

I loved this tag quite a bit, it was about my favorite subject! I would love it if others joined in, I'd love to read all of your answers!

Dainty Doll Blushers

you are my sunshine - my girl - paper roses
Whoops, more beauty products! I've been lusting after these blushes since hearing about them mentioned on dozens of blogs and I picked them up for £1.99... £1.99!!! (They normally retail at around £13.50?) Already when I opened the parcel the packaging was absolutely gorgeous, so much effort had been put into it. The actual product packaging is just simple black with lettering but I absolutely love it, so gorgeous and simple. I think it just goes perfectly.
I couldn't help myself and I bought 3, 2 powder blushes - 'You Are My Sunshine' and  'My Girl' and a cream blush - 'Paper Roses' (which I've never tried before so I'm excited!) These blushes are incredibly well pigmented. I tried the darkest pink yesterday morning and it's that well pigmented I had to wipe it off and reapply, it's such a deep shimmery pink! I still need to try the other colours properly but I'm ever so excited, the cream especially as it's not shimmery and just a block colour. Also with the blushers comes a gorgeous little mirror, ever so handy to top up with if need be!
I would definitely recommend these blushers.
They are gorgeous and ever so well pigmented.
Get yourself down to Fragrance Direct before they sell out!

The a-z Series

source - imbeingerica

I've seen this post on countless blogs, the main ones being Erica and Becky and I thought, I really want to do that! So here I am.  I've loosely designed it around the idea of you all getting to know me a little better. I hope you all find me interesting! Plus it's a nice little filler post in between wishlists and what not. Now I hope to get one of these posts up a week so wish me luck!
If you chose to do this post link me! I love reading about people, I'm nosy ;-)

Now I really wanted to do another of these posts (despite my looks all being the same nearly!) as I've got new glasses, I can actually see the blusher in my cheeks and I curled my hair, I felt like a pretty girl! Also I wanted to post to go up today, I didn't want my blog to lack. (As you can tell this is scheduled as I am currently in York for the Rocky Horror Picture Show eek!)

I know most of my looks are the same and I really should branch out but I really enjoy wearing them. I love the flicked eyeliner and ruby lips. You may not be able to tell but on this day I actually got my flicks pretty perfect, they both look equal together and I was so happy with them! Also this was the second attempt at my hair curl and I love it, it's still a wee bit short but not much growing left to do! :)

What's your favorite look?

Ye Olde leather jacket!

 photo DSCF7570_zpse0d486f6.jpg photo DSCF7560_zps6150eb2b.jpg photo DSCF7572_zps66373710.jpg

How gorgeous is this jacket????
Now I picked this up on a whim, I was out shopping yesterday with Tom and we were looking for a jacket for his Eddie costume, he is quite large on the top and I found this jacket and thought it'd be perfect! However.... We'd have to cut the sleeves off it to be in character and well it didn't really fit him. So I came to the rescue!

This baby cost me £20 (!!!) out of Banardo's and it's real leather with the cow hide label inside, it has lots of zippy pockets and it feels wonderful. It's not only a perfect fit but it's also rather thick and I can wear a hoodie underneath for cold/rainy weather. The smell too, mmh I love a good leather smell! What can I say, I've fallen in love with this jacket. Now it is a large (I'm normally around a 12) which got me thinking about how old it is?

This was the best surprise ever, not only do I have a new beautiful jacket, which is real leather.
I didn't break the bank! Yay me :)

April Wishlist // #3

 photo wishlist_zps38da4793.png
one // two // three // four // five

How gorgeous is everything on here? I seem to be getting quite good at putting these together and posting them. I've had a lot of spare time on my hands recently due to Easter meaning I've had chance to surf the web (eek!) and I've found some gorgeous things I really want but can't really afford, boohoo :(

My favorite thing on here is the camera, I would love to update my old Fuji Film but the camera I really would like (Nikon D3100 which isn't shown) is around £370 at the moment and eep, I'm not made of money! However a close is second is this gorgeous dress for a tenner! It's so perfect, I wasn't colour keen at first but it's sure grown on me. Along with the dress are the shoes, I love anything studded, heeled and boot'd. These are gorgeous and every so cheap!

I know bucket bags have been and gone yet I still really want one. Now I'm not overly keen on forking out about £70 for a special Zara one so I found this beauty on eBay for around £20, baaargain! Another pricey item is the UD primer, I would love to try it as it's so highly rated, I think I'll have to wait till a big payday comes around!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Now as you may be aware I'm actually going to see the only and only theater show on the 13th of this month, I am beyond excited! I do kind of have my costume planned out I'm just waiting for my payday and stuffss. Anyway for those who don't know I will be dressing up as Frank, not only my favorite character but I get to wear heels and fishnets (ooo!) and my boyfriend is going as Eddie which is an unusual but wonderful choice.
Now Frank is all about his glitz and glamour. His must haves are his shoes and definitely the pearls! Also you need the make up, Frank would be nothing without his bright red lip and huge dark eye make up. However the rest of his costume is ever so easy. I have my own corset I can spray with glitter and I love stockings, he is literally the most perfect character for me, I don't care that I'm female!
Eddie is also a very easy to character and especially for my boyfriend. He has ton's of ripped jeans and he can't wait to get his hands on a leather jacket he can rip up and sew patches on to, it's a small dream of his.
I genuinely cannot wait for this show, the full day is just going to be filled with glitter, high heels and ton's of make up. I can't wait to try some make up tutorials myself, I've promised myself to take tons of photos and yes of course I'll write a post after I've been, I couldn't not! Plus I know all the words to every song so it's going to be a fabulous night!

Kick Ass Concealer By Soap & Glory // Review

 photo DSCF7331_zps37dee6b1.jpg photo DSCF7333_zps3c1045fe.jpg
So recently in a haul video I said I had bought S&G's concealer after much thought. Now I've read really good things about this product and I really wanted it as I'm a huge fan of the brand but I really didn't feel like paying £10 (!!) for the product, however in Boots it was reduced to £7 so it wasn't as bad plus I felt like treating myself! First thing I noticed about this product is it's gorgeous packaging, it's very retro and old school and I wanted it even more! I bought it in the lightest colour and I think it matches my skin tone perfectly! (Although my dark under eyes do fight the concealer hard, it works perfectly).

As you can see from the picture below there are 3 steps, 1 for under your eyes to brighten you up, 2 for covering up any blemishes and scars you want to hide and 3 with a little puff with finishing powder to set your concealer in place. Now I love the set out of the 'steps' it's very cute and easy to follow but also very simple.   photo DSCF7335_zps549adba1.jpg photo DSCF7343_zps0cecb031.jpg
It was hard to show the swatches up against the flash of my camera but I hope you can see them well, as I said before these colours match my skin perfectly and they blend so well with my foundation, they are perfect for covering dark circles and uneven skin!

Now I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it nearly every day since and I love it, you don't need to use much of the product to cover up so hopefully this baby will last me a good length of time! It's easy to apply and doesn't look too 'fake'.

Have you tried any of S&G's make up products?
